10) Just Daddy!!

Roland had to go out on Tuesday evening, leaving me to put Alex to bed.
He'd been in bed about 10 minutes when Roland returned, but quietly so Alex hadn't heard. Rol was making a cup of tea downstairs, when Alex called out ' Mummy, there's someone, downstairs!'.
' It's OK, it's just Daddy', I said, which he can't have heard, cos he then said 'Mummy it's a burglar!'
'No, darling, it's just Daddy....'
'Oh...'

He'd assumed the role of man of the house and was protecting me, how sweet!
