Our trip to Brussels for Becky and Roger's wedding went very well. We agreed beforehand that anything to do with directions/which train, bus, tram, underground to get on, would all be done by Roly and I wouldn't question it (as I usually do). This worked very well. Mind you the whole travel system in Brussels is fantastic, and far superior to anything we'll ever have here. Not too impressed with the access on and off pavements, especially if you have a pushchair, and they're definitely not in favour of putting tarmac on pavements for a smooth ride, but that's a minor complaint. The wedding and ceremony were lovely, in gorgeous buildings, and Alex had a fantastic time with some of the other children, chasing them round, and playing with balloons. And he loved dancing in the evening to the band. (thanks to Chris B - Becky's friend, for the photo).

Just wanted to add that, we've made the big break-through (for us anyway), and finally moved from Alex's sleep then lunch, to the reverse. He has been doing the reverse at nursery the whole time he's been there, but it never quite happened here. That's because home isn't quite as interesting as nursery, and they have people who do the lunch while the other staff are doing the playing... So he always went down to sleep that bit earlier here, but as he's got older, the sleep's got later, which meant lunch got later too, till we've been eating at 3- 3.30 ish. So now, we can go back to having lunch at normal times again.
