Well as of last Friday, Alex is now crawling on ALL fours! And if you stand him and hold his hands he takes quite good steps forward. He's also for the last 2 nights developed the ability to pull him self to sitting in his cot, and I just looked in on him now, thinking he would be asleep cos all was quiet, and he was crawling up and down his cot!!!
Then add into this the fact that he bawls when I leave him at nursery in the mornings, which is upsetting for both of us. So I have to now just go in, leave him and go straight away.
The nursery staff have been having difficulties with him because when he's finished his food he screams at them for more, and gets extremely upset if they don't respond ie all out crying and big crocodile tears. I only witnessed this behaviour for the first time yesterday at home. So the plan is to ignore it, and wait for him to calm down, otherwise it could turn into rather big temper tantrums (as in the supermarket... aahhh, no!!!), which we certainly don't want. It's so hard, when you think you're doing your best, you actually find that you've been rather too responsive, and this has created this behaviour.
On the decorating front, piano went out yesterday. Fire installation, and decorator didn't start till today though. Most of the paper is off now, revealing rather unpleasant walls, with some very large cracks in places. So now the big decision, do we get the plasterer back to do the rest of the room, and then paint over it, or paper it and then paint over that? Thoughts please....
